Providing a place to gather and listen

Having wandered through the lush pastures and barren dunes of the American heartland, Woodford Pines has spent over a decade exploring the melodical mysteries of this great country and others. “Woody” calls Boulder, CO home, where he has focused on developing a sound as rich but varied as the folk styles he holds dear. First starting his musings in high school as part of the theatre, you were as likely to find him in an opera house as you were in the woods of his family farm in Northern Wisconsin. He spent the next 6 years traveling the country working seasonal jobs from Alaska to Florida appreciating and learning the folk-ways of the great musicians in the regions he settled in. This has included jazz manouche, Delta Blues, Punk, R&B, German polkas, Irish jigs, Mexican Rancheras, Cumbia, and Lord knows what-else.

Weaving these styles into tales of the places they came from and where they are going, Woodford aims to share his love for this country’s blooming musical lineage with his audience. Not just through song but through story, performance, and alternative art. Whether protest songs or instrumental balads, his goal is to explore how we can utilize lyric and melody to understand our history as a diverse people.
